Lizian Auma Onyango
Programme Officer
Lizian is a development practitioner, and her goal is to positively and meaningfully change the lives of vulnerable communities both locally and internationally. She aims to do this by using her knowledge, skills, and experience in development studies while continually growing, assuming higher levels of responsibility, and sharing knowledge.
She is particularly interested in seeing young people, women, and people living with disabilities have decent livelihoods and work together to achieve economic stability and promote safety within their communities. Lizian has more than 5 years of experience in community development through the promotion of income-generating activities, especially innovative climate actions, and through savings, loaning, and investment schemes. Additionally, she uses data for evidence-based advocacy to help young people have a seat at the decision-making table to improve service delivery, especially in urban and peri-urban areas.
